Drone Pilot License Resources
The Part 107 Commercial Pilot License is a certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that allows individuals to operate drones (formally known as Unmanned Aircraft Systems) for commercial purposes in the U.S.
Obtaining the Part 107 commercial pilot license opens up a wide range of opportunities in industries like real estate, construction, agriculture, filmmaking, and surveying by legally allowing you to operate drones for profit. It enhances your professional credibility, expands job prospects, and ensures you understand key regulations for safe and responsible drone use. The certification also provides flexibility to work independently or with businesses, enabling you to monetize drone services such as aerial photography, inspections, and mapping, all while complying with FAA regulations.
The Aviation Club has weekly meetings every Thursday at 5:30-6:30 via Zoom to help students study for the Part 107 licensing exam. If you are interested in joining us, please email aviation@humboldt.edu.
