Student Board Game Design Competition!

International Games Month

Congratulations to the Winners of the First Ever Student Board Game Design Competition!

Sea Monster: Sean Ross
Opus: Nick Graham
Long Live the King: Keith Dreun
Battle Arena Chess: Steven Kalama

Congratulations to all who entered the inaugural Student Board Game Design Competition! Game design is hard, every step, from coming up with an idea to prototyping to playtesting to sharing your game in a competition.

11 teams entered initially and the winners are listed to the left.

Thanks to the Makerspace, the Press at Cal Poly Humboldt, and especially Cal Poly faculty member and published game designer Kathleen Mercury, for making this year's event so successful.

Just a reminder,  Humboldt's student-led Tabletop Game Club hosts game nights on Wednesdays from 5-7pm in the Library. Drop by the third floor, Library room 310, for a relaxing and fun break.

Gaming is yet another example of how the Library is fulfilling the desire to play, read, and learn in our campus community.

We'll do it again next November!
