8th Annual Authors Celebration Continues all Week!

Informational Panels Continue for the 8th Annual Authors Celebration

Join us in celebrating Cal Poly Humboldt students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have published in 2021! 

This year we are expanding the celebration with hour-long virtual panels of people sharing knowledge about writing, publishing, and marketing.

  • Tuesday, 2/15 @ 12pm: How to Market a Fiction or Non-Fiction Book
    • Cyndy Phillips (publisher at SequoiaSong Press)
    • Lonny Grafman (author of To Catch the Rain and To Catch the Sun)

  • Tuesday, 2/15 @ 3pm: Polishing Your Publication: Redwood Roots Digital Magazine - Join Redwood Roots staff members for a workshop that focuses on developing and workshopping future submissions to the digital magazine. This workshop will be a crash course in conceptualizing your work, developing content, and publishing your story. You will leave this workshop better prepared to articulate your community-based learning projects for potential publication with Redwood Roots Digital Magazine.
  • Wednesday, 2/16 @ 12pm: How to Self-Publish or Publish with The Press at Cal Poly Humboldt - Learn how to publish a book with The Press at Cal Poly Humboldt, publish an article with a Press affiliated journal, or publish a book on your own
