You don't have to wait for an open lab station. Now you can print over the wireless network to the printers in Library 122 and on the 3rd floor of the BSS building (outside of BSS 313) as easily as if you were in a computer lab. Your C-Card will be charged in the usual way, and the same provisos apply about refunds and making sure to print the correct documents. Install the software and follow the directions to print from your laptop.  Need help?  See the Help Desk in Library 120.

Are you familiar with HSU Library’s video/DVD collection? We have over 9000 titles including rare documentaries and popular movies. They are arranged by call number on open shelves in the Media Resources Area (MRA), located on the 2nd floor of the Library. MRA has 11 stations containing a variety of video and audio equipment and 6 study carrels with power plugs. HSU faculty, students, and staff can use MRA or Rooms 208, 311, 312, 314 which are equipped with TV/VCR/DVD units and can be reserved online. Faculty and staff can check out an unlimited number of Media materials for one week. Students may check out up to 3 titles for 3 days and community borrowers may check out up to 3 titles overnight. There is a $1/day overdue fine per title. Faculty members may renew videos/DVDs or request extended checkout, if necessary, and are encouraged to reserve videos/DVDs in advance by calling x5656 or sending e-mail to Kumi Watanabe-Schock.

The Campus Dialogue on Race (CDOR) is an annual event at HSU that invites students, staff, faculty, administrators, and community members to present and attend programs that relate to racial justice and its intersections with all forms of oppression and resistance.  This year's CDOR takes place Nov. 1 - Nov. 8 and the theme is (In)Justice and Resistance: Past, Present and Potential and this theme encompasses Body Justice, Racism in a "Post-Racial" Society, Justice for Trayvon(s): Stand Whose Ground? and many others. Fill out the 2013 CDOR Proposal Form before 10/7, if you'd like to offer a workshop, film screenings and other events. Featured keynote speaker will be Tim'm West.
