Here are two sample assignments. Read them carefully and answer each set
of questions.
Sample Assignment I
Give a 10-15 minute oral presentation on media ethics. Your presentation
must be based on at least 5 recent scholarly articles. You will be asked
to turn in a bibliography of the sources you consulted. You must use
video, slides, or other graphical media to illustrate your ideas.

Sample Assignment 2
Write a term paper outlining the opposing ideological positions of the
Northern and the Southern states that led to the American Civil War. The
term paper should be 5-20 double-spaced pages of text not including
endnotes and a bibliography citing a minimum of 20 sources. At least five
of your sources must be primary sources (e.g., diaries, letters, etc.).
