- Commerical Atlas and Marketing Guide (Rand McNally) Annual
(Atlas G1106 .Q1 R35 folio) Includes detailed US state maps with clearly delimited
counties, along with accompanying population, economic, and geographic data.
Provides census statistics for counties, cities, and MSA's, county manufacturing
and sales data, postal information (including a United States zip code map),
and transportation information.
- Economic
Census Thematic Maps (U.S. Census Bureau) Interactive mapper allows one
to choose themes and geographies using data from the 1997 U.S. Economic Census.
Maps can be displayed on a national base or a state base showing county level
data.
- Economist Atlas (Economist) 1992 (Atlas G 1046 G1 E37 1992)
- Global Inc.: an Atlas of the Multinational Corporation (Gabel
and Bruner) 2003 (Atlas G 1046 Q1 G3 2003) Chapters illustrate and map the
predecessors of modern multinational corporations; 25 modern global corporations
from 17 economic sectors (employment, growth and geographical spread through
time, sales and revenue, production, and office locations are shown); and
worldwide economic, environmental, social and cultural impacts of golbal corporations.
- Poverty Mapping (FAO, UNEP and the CGIAR)
Collection of world and regional poverty maps grouped into the following themes--
demographic indicators; economy and markets; education; energy; food security;
health; poverty indicators; urban areas; and water and sanitation. These poverty
maps are spatial representations of poverty assessments. The assessment information
comes from a variety of sources, e.g., indicators of income poverty (such
as GDP per capita or daily subsistence levels), or of well-being (such as
life expectancy, child mortality, or literacy) Various indicators may be combined
to give an index of poverty or human development (such as the Human Development
Index, a composite of life expectancy, literacy and income).
- Regional Economic Patterns in
the United States, 1990-1999 : Mapbook (US Department of the Labor. Bureau
of Labor Statistics) 2001. Series of maps on a US basemap that show trends
in state and county employment and wages.
- UC Atlas of Global Inequality
(University of California, Santa Cruz. Center for Global, International and
Regional Studies) Contains data and graphics for individual countries and
maps on a global scale that focus on globalization inequality from 1960 to
2000. Data and maps cover demographic, economic and health issues related
to global inequality.
- World Bank Atlas (World
Bank) Annual (Atlas G 1046.G1 W6) Shows the fundamental development topics
of people, environment, economy and states, markets, and global links. The
altas is a summary of the World Development Indicators in graphic form.
