This research guide lists print and web resources that provide 1) guidance in the preparation of scholarly papers, oral presentations, and posters; 2) tips for organizing and citing references; and 3) utilities for online language translation and file conversion.

A critical part of the research process is keeping track of references (citations) that support your research, ideas, facts, pictures, quotes, etc. so that you can properly cite them in your work using an accepted publication style. Tools to Manage References for Research and Writing lists recommended "reference management programs" available free to HSU students, faculty and staff that can help in this process.
