I have been a Reference Librarian at Humboldt State since 1972. My undergraduate degree is from Swarthmore College (Russian language and literature) and my master's degrees are from the University of California at Berkeley (Library Science and Folklore). Prior to coming to Humboldt, I was a Children's Librarian at the Contra Costa County Library and a Reference Librarian at UC Berkeley.

My subject responsibilities include Education, Kinesiology, Native American Studies, and Children's Literature. My most recent assignment at the HSU Library is Special Collections Librarian. As such I am responsible for the Library's Humboldt County Collection and Archives. My interest in local history has included participation for a number of years in local water and planning issues. I am currently serving on the Board of the Trinidad Museum Society.
