Scheduling a Library Instruction Class
Library faculty are available to provide course-integrated instruction in research techniques and resources relevant to your discipline or course topic. These sessions may be one class period or several. They can be offered to "introduction to the major" courses, upper-division or graduate classes, or any other class where you think that instruction would be beneficial to your students.
To schedule a library instruction class, please contact the library faculty assigned to your department. See Library Faculty by Subject Specialty for phone numbers and email addresses. For general classes please contact Martha Johansen, Library Instruction Coordinator. Please schedule library instruction classes at least 7 working days in advance. Scheduling is done on a first come, first served basis, so please schedule early. Be prepared to give the following information: date, time, number of students, nature of any library assignment, and what sources you would like addressed.
Library faculty carry multiple responsibilities and are committed to careful preparation for each Library instruction class they teach.
