- Foundation Directory
Online - This database offers program details for 1,000+ leading
foundations; detailed application guidelines for 6,000+ foundations; and
sponsoring company information for corporate givers. The service also includes a
searchable file of approximately 150,000 grants of $10,000 or more awarded by
the top 1,200 funders. The Trustees, Officers, and Donors search field and its
corresponding index allow users to search among 300,000 trustee, officer and
donor names.
- GTE SuperPages®: Yellow Pages and E-Commerce Shopping Directory - Derived from Yellow Pages listings from all telephone companies -- a total of over 11 million business listings nationwide, regardless of telephone service provider. You may search by business name and get a map of the business's location and driving directions.
- InfoSpace.com - Yellow pages, white pages, reverse look-up, public records (cost $), etc.
- JCS ZIP Codes, Area Codes, and City Search - This site has lots of advertising but is useful for looking up zip codes in the US and Canada, area codes, cities, states, and counties. You can also have distances between zip codes calculated.
- National Address Server - Given a valid U.S. postal address, this server attempts to rewrite the address in the proper format along with the ZIP+4 code. If it is successful, you can retrieve a Postscript or a GIF file of the address for printing, with a barcode. You can also view a street map of the address. You can also search for zip codes by city.
- Phonebooks.com - Free site that offers users access to three different types of online phonebooks and an international phonebook directory.
- Reverse Phone Directory - You may use a number of tools linked here to find a name & address for a known phone number.

- Zip Code Lookup and Address Information - From the United States Postal Service.

- Free Email Address Directory - Listings for over 1,000 free email services. Resources on how to find the email address of family or friends and a directory of Free Internet Access providers are also available here.
- InfoSpace - International - White pages, yellow pages, email addresses, etc. Also has links to travel and weather information for the country of interest.
- International Phonebooks Directory - Free directory of phonebooks and dialing information for other countries.
- Telephone Directories on the Web, Phone Books, White Pages, Yellow Pages - A very detailed index of online phone books, with links to Yellow Pages, White Pages, Business Directories, Email Addresses and Fax Listings from all around the world. Coverage varies from country to country.
- United Kingdom Postal Codes - Find the postal code for an address or type in a postal code and find an address in the United Kingdom. From the Royal Mail, must register.
- World Telephone Numbering Guide - According to the introduction, "World Telephone Numbering Guide (WTNG) is intended to bring together various website and other Internet links regarding telephone numbering. Area code lists, text articles, news of phone number changes, number-finding forms are listed." A very useful site, especially for finding out how to make international calls.

- American School Directory - Subscription-based guide to approximately 104,000 K-12 schools in America.
- College Search - From a database of 3,200 two- and four-year colleges drawn from the College Board's College Handbook; search by name or by other criteria (geographic location, size, major, etc.). For each college includes 12 information sections, including a link to the college's web site and electronic college application if available.
- Study Abroad Directory - According to the introduction, this is "...the on-line study abroad information resource. Here you will find listings for thousands of study abroad programs in more than 100 countries throughout the world. You will also find hundreds of links to study abroad program home pages and a wealth of related information."

- Chamber of Commerce International Directory - You may search either the Worldwide Directory of Chambers of Commerce or the Worldwide Directory of Cities - States - Provinces at this site.
- Congressional Biographical Directory - Biographical information for all members of the US Congress since 1774 may be searched here.
- Congressional Directory - The Congressional Directory databases contain the directories for the 104th (1995-96), 105th (1997-98) and 106th (1999-2000) Congresses. The directories for the 105th and 106th Congresses are available for browsing and the 104th - 106th are searchable. Updated irregularly.
- FindLaw - Use West Legal Directory's free search engine to find a lawyer, attorney, or law firm. Includes tips on how to find and hire a lawyer.
- Martindale-Hubbard Lawyer Locator - "Search over one million lawyers and law firms in 160 countries by a variety of criteria, including name, geographic location, practice area, firm size, and languages."
