Reference/Information Services

The mission of the Information Services Department is to serve the educational and intellectual needs of the University and community by facilitating information literacy and by mediating between society's storehouse of knowledge and the patron's specific needs.

To fulfill this mission:

• in-person, phone, and email reference services are offered. See Ask a Librarian for a description of these services.
• informal and formal instructional services are offered to students and, on a more limited basis, to local school and community groups through the Library's Information Literacy Services.
