In addition to individual newspapers of the region which are listed in the Library Catalog and Humboldt County News Online, and more fully described on the Northwestern California Newspapers website, the Library has Specimen Issues from a number of the local newspapers as well as a collection of Special and/or Commemorative Issues created by various newspaper publishers. Many of these are located in the Humboldt Room, although the Specimen Issues are available by appointment only.
