Visitor Parking at the HSU Library

Parking where you desire may be difficult at times. Please plan ahead and allow sufficient time to locate a stall and walk from where you park. Daily permits and metered-parking are available as explained below:

Daily Permits

These permits may be purchased at the locations shown on the map. They are valid only on the day purchased and must be completely visible on the dashboard. They are valid in Staff lots after 5 p.m.

Parking Meters

Metered spaces provide parking for any vehicle, except motorcycles, for the time designated by depositing coins. Permits are not valid at parking meters.

Parking Areas

Most of the areas on campus where vehicles may legally be parked are designated by posted signs as to the type of permit required. All HSU permits are valid in areas not designated by a sign. Vehicles must be completely contained in a marked stall, except on unmarked streets. Not finding a legal parking space is not an excuse for being illegally parked.

The following Restricted Zones are enforced AT ALL TIMES:

Motorcycles and Mopeds

Motorcycles and mopeds must display valid permits and can park only in Motorcycle Zones or on streets without stall markings. Mopeds are subject to all traffic regulations and may not be operated under power when driven on campus walkways.

All regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, every day of the year. This includes Service and Yellow Zones, Disabled and Reserved Spaces.

Parking meters and permit requirements are in effect 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, including Finals week and the Summer Session.
