Giving to the Library
Your outright contribution, named endowment, planned gift or in-kind gift will enhance Library services and programs, including building collections, maintaining technological currency, and preserving and providing access to special collections and archival materials. Every donor to the Humboldt State University Library becomes a Friend.
Donations to the Humboldt State University Library are deductible to the extent permitted by law. To make a gift, you may print and return the Gift Form. Employees of Humboldt State University may contribute through payroll deduction (information available from University Advancement, 707-826-5118).
Outright contributions augment our ability to purchase books and equipment and to provide access to library resources in all formats. Such gifts include cash, checks, credit card payment, and appreciated stock. Contributions may be unrestricted (in which case, your gift will be used in the area of greatest need) or designated for library collections, e.g., books, Special Collections/Humboldt Room, videos, compact discs, or equipment, or you may wish to create a named endowment in the subject area of your choice. For information about named endowments, contact University Advancement (707-826-5101).
Honor with Books. You may make a gift in honor or in memory of a person or group: for each tax-deductible gift of $50, your name (optional) and the name that you specify will appear on a bookplate that will be affixed inside the cover of the book.
Planned giving opportunities contribute to future Library collections, services, and programs, and may be discussed with University Advancement staff (707-826-5101).
