Mission Statement

The Association of Student Sculptors is an organization that is dedicated to the support and sponsorhip of sculpture events and exhibitions intended to serve our members and the Humboldt State University Community. Throughout the year we organize and present visting artist workshops, lectures, and student exhibitions. Our members gain relevant knowledge and field experience pertaining to professional art practices through participation in club activities and the installation of group and solo shows. We encourage group discussions concerning artistic awareness, and serve as a forum for artists to express their opinions. We encourage an atmosphere where members have the opportunity to develp leadership and organizational skills, and help to encourage artisitc community amongst peers.
