Results of a query are posted to a custom web page in an html format for online viewing and an ASCII comma deliminted format for spreadsheet or database use. For additional information see NOAA National Data Center Climate Online For Use in Research, Applications and Education.
  • Northern California Climate Summaries (Western Regional Climate Center) Contains summary temperature and precipitation information covering multiyear periods for individual stations in northern California. Includes approximately 40 northwestern California stations.
  • Northern California Rainfall Data (Alden & Harper) 1995 (QC 925.1 U8 C22 1995 Hum Co Coll) Includes monthly and annual precipitation data for 58 stations in Humboldt County plus Crescent City. Period of record is from the earliest date (many start in 1980) to 1994.
  • Water Data Library (California Department of Water Resources) When completed will include hydrologic data in four areas: surface water measurement, water quality, groundwater levels, and climatology. Presently water quality data and groundwater level data are available. In California precipitation data was first collected in 1849, stream gage data in 1878, and the measurement of groundwater levels in the early 1900's. The Water Data Library contains data collected by the California Department of Water Resources and cooperating agencies and previously made available in several print series and in the Water Data Information System legacy computer system. Index to Sources of Hydrologic Data (California Department of Water Resources Bulletin 230) (Cal Doc W 750 B9 #230) contains a comprehensive list of hydrologic data stations through 1981. The data complements hydrologic data available from the U.S. Geological Survey and the National Weather Service/National Climatic Data Center. The HSU Library has the following data compilations issued as California Department of Water Resources Bulletins:
