Finding Books
Books, reports prepared by government agencies and other similar works are listed in the Library Catalog. Most locally focused materials are housed in the Humboldt Room on the third floor of the Library. The materials in this room are library use only. The catalog will note if there are additional copies located in the regular bookstacks which can be checked out.
To find works on local natural hazards enter a search that uses a combination of subject and geographic terms. Use the following example as the pattern to search the subjects floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, wildfires, forest fires, storms or climate. The only exception is that the subject climate works best as a keyword search humboldt county climate.
